Over the weekend I had the pleasure of visiting my cousin Audrey at her home for a family portrait session. It was a cool, blustery fall day. Her yard had a lovely layer of fresh leaves, and she had a pumpkin. Once her family was bundled up for the weather, we had the makings of a perfect fall photo shoot. Audrey and her husband are a beautiful couple, and their son is absolutely adorable. Here is a teaser of a handful of their portraits.

Acadia National Park will always hold a special place in my heart. My family has been traveling to Mount Desert Island as a summertime camping destination since I was an infant. When it was time to decide on a weekend getaway destination to celebrate our anniversary weekend, Acadia was an easy first choice. We stayed in a cozy ocean side cottage, the first day we went on a whale watch and saw porpoises, puffins, and a pair of humpback whales. The second day we explored the park loop road and enjoyed a fog bank that constantly changed our view. We ended the second day on top of Cadillac Mountain to watch a spectacular sunset. It was the perfect way to bid farewell to summer.
